How Much Water Should I Be Drinking?

I’m totally guilty of not drinking enough water daily, but what really is enough water? I’ve been taught since forever that it’s been 8 glasses of water a day but times have changed and so has that number. According to an article put out by the Mayo Clinic, the adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly 3 liters (that’s 13 cups) and the AI for women is about 2.2 liters (that’s 9 cups) of water a day! Yea I’m very much behind on my daily intake, how about you?

  1. I am terrible at drinking water! Can easily go the whole day on a few sips (I don’t drink anything else either). This being said, I’ve found that for some reason putting my water into a 32oz water bottel makes taking in the required amount of fluids not that difficult.

    1. I noticed yesterday that when I put my water in my sports bottle over trying to refill a glass throughout the day that did help as well. And I’m with you on a few sips a day, trying to get better at this.
