Crossfit Vs Regular Gym

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about dropping my gym membership and crossing over to Crossfit. I have a cousin who trains and teaches Crossfit in Texas and a handful of friends that do it here in Arizona but I’m still a little on the fence. My regular gym membership is $25 monthly and the Crossfit membership is $150 a month. Now at $125 difference I have to justify the cost. I think it’s awesome that you have a certified trainer with you EVERY time you work out to help with form, and it helps you get out of that that repetitious visit to the gym of just winging the work out.

I’d love to know if YOU personally have had the opportunity to try both and what you feel the pros and cons are?

Do you think it’s worth the price?

  1. CrossFit is a pricey proposition. Some gyms have an intro class that lasts a few weeks, and after that you can pay by the class. So check out that option. Also, you could go for a few months, then use what you learned at your regular gym (or your home gym). There are all sorts of ways to apply the CrossFit methods to workouts independently. Work hard on those Olympic and gymnastic movements – form is everything. Good luck!
