Day 8 | Starting Monday off Right

Day 8 of Paleo

Tonight I made a yummy dinner… my first ‘semi’ cheat… I’ve read some places Feta is ok, while others completely shun it well… I took a leap of faith and decided to cook a LARGE chicken breast for myself cooked in olive oil seasoned with basil and stuffed with a lil feta to counter act with the basil. Baked some shredded carrots for garnish.

Before dinner, I got in a solid hour work-out at the gym.

15 minutes on the elliptical

35 minutes on circuit weight training

10min on the tread

My after workout shower never felt soo good today, ha!

Back on the Regimen | Day 1

So I’ve started back up on my regimen today… going to focus on toning and weight-loss. I’m going to try and shop for only 4-5 days at a time, because when I try to buy a bunch of food at once, it generally goes bad before I can eat it all.

My goal is to work on lean meats, pure veggies and fruits and cutting out artificial sugars, starches and grain. So here’s to Day 1! Wish me luck

Food for the day |

Breakfast | Some Trader Joe’s Soyrizo/2 eggs | black iced coffee
Lunch | forgot :( – unsweetend green tea
Dinner | seasoned grilled chicken w/ steamed cauliflower carrots and broccoli w/ Unsweetened Green tea

Dessert | 3 slices of unsulfured/unsweetened Mango from Trader Joe’s

Todays Workout | 3: 14pm start time

Gym | 10 Min on elliptical at medium/high resistance
30 min on the circuit training
10 min on high level Stairclimber

Up at the Crack of Dawn

Guess who was up at 430 this morning? This girl! I tried to go back to bed for a lil but continued to toss and turn and decided to get my ass out of bed and start my a.m. workout early at 24 Hour Fitness.

Gym Start time: 520am

Gym End Time: 630am

I pretty much follow a similar regiment everyday and try to switch up  the weights so my body isn’t accustomed to the EXACT thing every day.

Things to bring to the gym: Bottle of water, hand towel, and iPod

Todays workout:

15-20min of intense cardio on the elliptical to start w/ high resistance.

4 x 20 on Circuit training | there’s about 12 pieces in the circuit and then I use the ab crunch machine and triceps-dip machine

Ended with 10 min cool down on the Elliptical| again kept the resistance high and for the last 3 minutes drop the resistance a lil and pumped it out. I went through a  second bottle of water at the gym, and sweated my tush off!

Now that I’m home I’m going to have about 8oz of Chobani Plain greek yogurt w/ a bottle of water, 1 womans multi vitamin, a folic acid pill and get started on my work and try and get back to the gym for an afternoon workout.
